Comedy Central's John Oliver Show, Nickelodeon After being named Charlotte’s Comedian of the Year by Creative Loafing in 2006, Joe began touring the country doing what he loves (that is, driving long distances while listening to self-help books). Since then, Joe has rapidly become known for his likable stage demeanor and original material. In 2007 he was named "Stand out Stand up" at the Asheville Comedy festival, and in 2009 Rooftop named him one of the fastest rising stars in the country, and Punchline Magazine wrote that he was one of the top comics to emerge from the NC Comedy Arts Festival. In 2010 Joe was invited to the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition, and he also placed first at the prelims for the 2011 Laughing Skull Festival. When Joe is not performing solo, he tours with the Beards of Comedy, who recently recorded their debut album, "Comedy for People," which can be heard regularly on Sirius-XM.
